BIO & STATEMENT
Nana Gagoshidze, born and raised in the country of Georgia, graduated with high honors from the University of Tbilisi with a degree in Criminal Law. Nana practiced law for over 27 years, but has always had a strong desire to create art and design. She followed her hearts desire, and God’s given gift and pursued her passion.
In Georgia, Nana has had her artwork displayed in numerous galleries, art universities, and hotels. Even the Patriarch of Georgia has recognized Nana’s artistic talents. A highlight of her career is when the Patriarch invited her to a New Years Eve dinner and she bestowed upon him one of her creations.
Nana’s original techniques, along with her passion and love, has taken years to perfect. Materials of raw silk, merino wool, and cocoons are delicately hand dyed. She then transforms these materials into vibrant and spectacular collages. No two pieces are alike which adds to the uniqueness and value of the artist’s creations. Once you set your eyes on the beauty of each design, you will be amazed by the attention to detail. For certain, these masterpieces will be cherished and past down from generation to generation.
Nana now resides in Forked River, New Jersey with her sister Nino, where she continues to expand her artwork.
