My current work is a reflection of my emotions and internal conflicts.
The watercolor backgrounds are loose and chaotic, like a violent storm they are indomitable. In the foreground I try to take dominion over the canvas and that’s when my mind starts to wonder, “how detailed do I want to get, do I want to go to a happy place or do I want to see destruction and pain?”
In the end I fall into a Zen state and let peace rule the canvas, but subconsciously, every once in a while, wild creatures from my youth haunt the canvas.
