There's an erratic relationship between myself and what I make. The outcomes of my works are consistently unexpected; I've not yet completed a piece precisely to my original intention. And that's where the attraction exists.
There's never complete satisfaction in what I create because the process always dictates the outcome; I always end up on a different route than where I started. Each new piece, no matter the medium, has endless possibilities. The relationship is challenging, but never-the-less exciting, and I'm inexhaustibly committed.
Alayne Macchiaverna was born in Toms River, New Jersey in 1991. She studied fine art at The College of New Jersey from 2009 to 2011, but has taken a short leave of absence from her education to focus on opportunities in both commercial and residential murals. She currently operates a studio and workable gallery space at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City, New Jersey.
