BIO & STATEMENT
Formerly a fashion illustrator in New York, Jean left the fashion world to have five children. While raising them in the town of Nutley, she continued drawing as well as being an active member of the Nutley Art Group. From 1982 to 1993 she participated in the Miniature Art Society of NJ shows which were held in Nutley.
She has exhibited her work at the Belleville, Nutley and Bradley Beach libraries. She joined several other women artists in the Nutley Women Artists Show. Her work has appeared in many juried shows with Riker Hill, Clifton and Rutherford Art Associations.
When Jean moved to Bradley Beach in 2006, she joined the Belmar Arts Council and has displayed her work in several of their shows since 2008. She especially enjoys participating in the Bradley Beach Public Library’s Annual Art Show. Her primary medium is pastel and the human figure is her inspiration.
